Why we’re building DotLife Network
Date Published

A good city guide starts with a practical question: what would help someone get to know this place?
It might be a neighborhood to explore, a business to visit, or an idea for the weekend. For a local business, the question is different: how do we introduce ourselves to people who are looking for what this city offers?
We’re building DotLife Network to bring those questions closer together. Our city websites share a platform, while each keeps its own name and local focus. Here at dotlifenetwork.com, we’re creating a home for the business behind them—and a clear place to start a conversation.
Shared tools. Distinct places.
A neighborhood café and a downtown hotel may be only a few miles apart, but they serve different needs. A useful guide should make those differences easier to understand.
The same is true across cities. Sharing technology can help us build and maintain the websites, but it doesn’t replace the work of making each one useful to the people exploring that place. Local identity needs more than a city name at the top of a page.
That is the direction of the network: a shared foundation that leaves room for each city’s own places, businesses and character.
Our city portfolio is the starting point. Choose a city to visit its website, or learn more about the company on our About page.
A business home for the network
The city websites help people explore places. This website explains the network behind them.
It brings together the portfolio, advertising opportunities, a media kit, and a direct way to reach our team. This Journal adds another part: a place to explain what we’re building, share decisions along the way, and look at the connections between local discovery and local business.
If you’re exploring an opportunity in one city or several, you shouldn’t have to guess where to begin. Tell us about the business, the places you have in mind, and what you want to achieve. We can then discuss the scope and availability that fit that request.
Our first advertising pilot starts in Houston
We’re starting with a specific offer: the Houston Featured Business Pilot.
The proposed pilot includes a business profile setup and detail review, 30 days of featured directory placement on Houston.com, one approved custom call-to-action, agreed start and end dates, and placement checks. A wrap-up report records the listing link, dates and checks.
Featured listings rotate among other featured businesses. We confirm category fit, availability, price and dates in writing before a pilot begins. The offer does not guarantee a particular audience size, leads, sales or other campaign results.
See the pilot details or request a Houston pilot quote. If you have a different city or partnership in mind, tell us about it.
What we’d like to hear from you
The most useful introduction is a clear one. When you get in touch, bring:
- Your business: what you offer and where we can learn more.
- Your places: the city or cities that matter to you.
- Your goal: what you want someone to know or do.
- Your timing: when the opportunity would be useful.
- Your budget: a range, if you have one in mind.
You don’t need a finished campaign to start the conversation. Our inquiry form saves your message so the team can review it and respond using the email address you provide.
As the network develops, we’ll use this Journal to share more about the work and the places it connects. For now, explore the cities, take a look at the Houston pilot, or say hello.
